Our 2021 Virtual Gala was a great success, raising much-needed and greatly-appreciated funding for our initiatives!

The 2021 Virtual Gala
“I’ve lived my life at the borders, between cultures, between disciplines, between musics, between generations. I feel like I need to make a statement today about three little things: The first thing is, a country is not a hotel, and it’s not full. The second statement I’d like to make is that in culture, we seek truth and understanding. And the last statement I’d like to make is that in culture we build bridges, not walls.”

Peter Yarrow in Concert
Lifelong humanitarian, activist, and musical legend Peter Yarrow championed a wonderful virtual concert for One Story at a Time on May 30, 2020.
Peter wanted to share his excitement and his gratitude, in song, for the extraordinary progress of our foundation work and our beloved and generous supporters.
During the concert, an auction of Peter’s newly hand-painted, beautiful guitar helped raise much-needed funding for our work.
Peter Yarrow: Concerts
As a folk singer, Peter Yarrow’s gift for songwriting produced some of Peter, Paul & Mary’s most memorable songs, including “Puff, the Magic Dragon,” “Day is Done,” “Light One Candle,” and “The Great Mandala.”
As an activist, Peter’s areas of commitment have included equal rights, social justice, peace, the environment, gender equality, homelessness, hospice care, and education, among many others.

The Concert in La Jolla
On February 28, 2020 we held a very special concert in La Jolla, California as a combined benefit for One Story at a Time and Little Mercies. Both non-profit organizations joined together to raise much-needed funds for the work of our groups and the initiatives we support at the border.
